                                            Inventory Clerk

Position Overview:

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate records of packages and shipments within the logistics/shipping company. This role involves scanning package tags, performing administrative tasks, sorting and packing items, dispatching packages to drivers, and receiving shipments into the company’s software system. The Inventory Clerk works closely with the Operations Coordinator, Supervisors, Cashiers, and Delivery Drivers to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scanning & Recording: Scan package tags and update inventory records in the software application.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing packages.
  • Packing & Sorting: Organize, pack, and sort packages for delivery and warehouse storage.
  • Dispatching: Prepare and dispatch packages to drivers for delivery. Transport inventory from zanderij to warehouse
  • Receiving Shipments: Register incoming packages into the system and verify accuracy against shipping documents.
  • Quality Control: Ensure packages are correctly labeled, sorted, and handled according to company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Supervisors, Drivers, and Cashiers to align inventory with operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; further training in logistics or administration is a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work with inventory software applications; scanning equipment experience required.

  • Detail-oriented and accurate in record keeping
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 08:00 – 16:30 hrs. (including a 30-minute break)
  • Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00 hrs.
  • Overtime: Possible during weekdays and weekends, including Sundays, when demand is high.

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and education
  • Start Date: Immediate availability preferred
