About the Role

We are seeking an Advisor, Communications to support the development and delivery of communication strategies that strengthen our reputation, ensure consistent messaging, and engage internal and external audiences. You will help manage media relations, digital content, social media, events, and corporate communication initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the creation and implementation of internal and external communication plans.
• Draft and edit content for press releases, newsletters, reports, and digital platforms.
• Prepare and schedule engaging social media content.
• Liaise with media outlets and respond to media inquiries.
• Support corporate events, campaigns, and community engagement activities.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage; prepare insights and recommendations.
• Ensure all communication materials align with corporate branding.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams on communication needs for key projects.
• Maintain communication records, systems, and assist with budget tracking and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Administration, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, social media, or graphic design.
• Proficiency in English, Dutch, and Sranan Tongo.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Ability to operate video cameras; drone competency is an asset.
• Strong writing skills for articles, stories, and reports.
